Ukraine, Kyiv: The EU announced the delivery of a powerful transformer to Ukraine after a recent surge of Russian attacks on the country, which caused its energy grid to teeter on the brink. The transformer was donated by Latvia via EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid. The donation will help the damaged electricity supply for more than half a million Ukrainians.
In a statement, the EU praised Latvia, saying “big thanks to Latvia for this donation via EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid”.
