Iraq, Baghdad: Iraq’s project to expand the Dibs gas-turbine power plant is nearing completion. The project aims to add roughly 300 MW to the power plant, which is located in the Northern Kirkuk Governorate.

The estimated completion date is in mid-May, and the generation capacity of the plant will now be 800 MW. A second phase is also included in the project. This will add another 160 MW to the power plant’s capacity. It is expected to be operational in summer 2025.
