Netherlands, Arnhem: On December 8, the ODFPS-334 MVA/500 kV autotransformer developed by Baobian Electric passed the testing at KEMA Labs.
In the short-circuit test, the impedance change value was less than 0.08 %, far lower than the standard required value of 1.5 %, with excellent indicators and stable performance. The tested product is the 500 kV single-phase autotransformer with the largest capacity in the world that has passed the KEMA Labs sudden short circuit test.
KEMA experts believe that this achievement is a manifestation of the gradual maturity of Baobian Electric in terms of technological innovation, standardized production, market development, and refined management.
KEMA Labs is a global market leader in the field of high-voltage electrical equipment testing and an internationally renowned company in high-voltage testing and certification. Located at several sites across the globe, the lab combines traditional with state-of-the-art gear to ensure every kind of grid equipment, from medium- to ultra high-voltage, can be tested, satisfying today’s increasingly demanding criteria for performance and safety.
Baobian Electric’s testing team in the Netherlands was lead by director Zhang Yonggang.
