#HVDC transformers

China, Baoding: State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has awarded a $195million contract to Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co., Ltd (BTW) for the supply of 4 packages of AC and HVDC transformers for two transmission projects.

Switzerland, Zurich: ABB has commissioned the converter stations to the 3,150 MW Rio Madeira HVDC link in Brazil which is at approximately 2,400 km, the longest transmission link in the world, according to ABB.
