Iraq, Bagdad: Iraqi Ministry of Electricity has announced that Siemens has signed a contract for electricity substation work in Iraq including the supply of electrical equipment and civil works for several 132 kV gas insulated substations, according to Arabian Industry.
South Korea, Seoul: LS Industrial Systems (LSIS), a Korean electrical equipment producer, has won a $147 million contract as part of the Bismayah New City Project (BNCP) to build electricity infrastructure in Iraq. This is the largest-ever overseas deal worth US (161.2 billion won) for the company.
