Japan, Tokyo: Hitachi Soe Electric & Machinery (Hitachi SEM), a joint venture company established for handling transformers for power systems and power distribution in Myanmar obtained relevant authorisations and begun business operations on 1 October.

Japan, Tokyo: Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has announced that it has signed a technical license agreement with a Myanmar-based manufacturer Asia General Transformer Co., Ltd. (AGT), for the design and supervisory technical support for the production of 100 MVA 230/66 kV oil-immersed core-form transformers.

VPower installs first 33 kV/230 kV power transformer in Myanmar

China, Hong Kong: VPower, a Hong Kong-based short to medium term power generation company, has launched a gas-fired interim power plant in Rakhine State, Myanmar, which is the first gas-fired power plant that connects directly to the country’s 230 kV grid.
