USA, Williamsport: Potomac Edison, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp., has begun planning a new HV transmission substation for a new data centre.

USA, Virginia: Potomac Edison, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp., has completed an upgrade to the electrical system serving Grant County, West Virginia.

USA, West Virginia: Utility company Potomac Edison has completed equipment upgrades at a substation in Jefferson County, West Virginia, to enhance service reliability and help meet high winter demand for electricity for about 2,200 customers in the Ranson and Charles Town areas.

USA, Maryland: Potomac Edison is upgrading equipment at a substation near Mt. Airy to help enhance service reliability for about 3,400 customers and meet increased electrical demand in the high-growth, eastern edge of its Maryland service area.

USA, Maryland: FirstEnergy is continuing work this summer and throughout the remainder of 2016 on distribution and transmission infrastructure projects totalling approximately $128 million in Potomac Edison’s service area in western Maryland and the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.

USA: Potomac Edison, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy, has begun construction of a new 34.5 kV power line as part of the $5 million project which will link an existing substation near Baker, West Virginia, to a new substation that will be built in Mathias, West Virginia, in 2017.
