Samling Group was approached by Sarawak Energy Berhad and obliged by way of donation of approximately 25,000 m2 (6.16 acres) of land for the new substation.

Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur: Alstom has won a €40 million ($49 million) turnkey contract by Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) to reconstruct the 275 kV Tudan substation in Sarawak, one of two Malaysian states on the island of Borneo, otherwise known as East Malaysia.
