Siemens to build transformer station in Belgrade

Serbia, Belgrade: Serbian national electric utility company EPS has awarded an $8.6 million (€7.7 million) contract to the Siemens local unit for the construction of a new transformer station in one of the central districts of the Serbian capital.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has granted $220 million (€200 million) loan to Serbian state-owned power utility Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) to reform the country’s power sector.
