We are looking for a Factory Manager for the Transformers Insulation unit Pucaro Elektro-Isolierstoffe GmbH in Roigheim (Heilbronn district), Germany. Pucaro, a member of the Hitachi ABB Power Grids, is a world leading manufacturer of insulation materials for the transformer and electrical motor industry. In the role as Factory Manager, you will lead the team and manage all aspects related to the manufacturing unit including the full scope of Production, Procurement, Quality & Operational Excellence and Logistics.

Your Responsibilities

  • Implement Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and business compliance standards and regulations within the unit. Continuously lead and strengthen the safety culture and drive improvements by engaging with the team.
  • Implement the Hub/Product Line manufacturing strategy in the factory.
  • Develop proactive strategies to increase customer satisfaction, operational effectiveness & business profits.
  • Ensure achievement of established targets, through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed. Lead the implementation of our production system (lean essentials) and put a strong focus on developing a continuous improvement culture.
  • Lead and manage manufacturing function and operation teams and processes. Improve manufacturing technology and competence in line with the group strategy.
  • Lead, motivate and together with the local management team drive to improve the business.
  • Drive quality improvement through target setting, monitoring and benchmarking to continuously improve processes.
  • Continuously improve productivity, delivery performance and cost optimization.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations/project execution and share functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed.

Your background

  • You hold a University Degree or similar
  • At least 5 years or more of experience in a senior management role of manufacturing unit across multiple cultures
  • Strong expertise and knowledge and management of production plans, Lean certifications and mindset
  • Strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. German language skill is considered an advantage.
