We are looking for an experienced Global Sales Manager to join our OEM Sales team in Grid Technologies. You will be working in an organization that plays a vital role on an energy landscape that is characterized by increasing energy demand, decentralization, decarbonization, and digitalization. Your main responsibility entails identifying business opportunities with globally operating companies which buy our products ( e.g. transformers, gas insulated switchgears) and integrate them into their components as part of photovoltaics plants, wind farms or other renewable power applications. In close alignment with these global customers (OEMs) and our factories you will coordinate the strategy, secure and grow this business effectively.Grid Technologies is uniquely positioned to be the trusted partner of choice for global customers, and you will be part of our mission to achieve society’s net zero ambitions. How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Responsibility for global sales for OEM business in Grid Technologies business areas as well as tracking and coordinating OEM business activities with factories, hubs and Headquarter
  • Identification and evaluation of business opportunities globally resulting in a sales pipeline and sales channel management
  • Establishing and maintaining new and already available customer relationships as well as ensuring market intelligence and business forecast through effective customer communication
  • Identification of new market trends as well as close collaboration with hubs and factories regarding price determination and strategy implementation
  • Coordinating RFQs between customers and factories and support factories in offer preparation as well as contract negotiation with the customer
  • Developing and implementing a strategy for OEM sales to grow and expand the business including the development of Go-to-Market concept
  • Performing customer and market analysis as well as deriving sales strategies and target prices

What You Bring

  • University Degree in Engineering or Business Engineering
  • Several years of direct experience in the energy/renewable sector as well as in sales/business development and win/loss analysis
  • Deep understanding of the global OEM business, i.e., transformers, switchgears, renewables, wind power, photovoltaics / solar, traction transformer / rail electrification / mobility
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and management skills as well as conceptual problem solver and strategic approach combined with a hands-on mentality
  • Experience with international customers as well as willingness to travel up to 30%
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
