The Transformer sub-module is a part of Vestas Power Solutions. The department is an essential contributor in making the current and future wind turbines more efficient and cost-effective by developing electrical power transformers. This is done by being E2E responsible for the development and maintenance of the components according to the full value chain requirements. The daily work will be within a broad network of stakeholders and together with the electrical specialists, you will set the standard for tomorrow’s design. You will be a part of a team consisting of 14 highly skilled engineers located in Denmark, Portugal, and India.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual design and creation of requirement specifications for High Voltage Transformers and associated accessories
• Conduct peer and technical reviews according to the design project model incl. supplier management and review of supplier’s design
• Set targets for how to qualify components and create test verification procedures
• Approve supplier’s tests and write test- and design verification reports
• Approve test and validation of prototypes
• Provide technical support to the strategic purchasers in evaluating supplier performance
• Implementation of equipment into the turbine platforms

Qualifications

• B.Sc.E.E, M.Sc.E.E, B.Sc. in Marine Engineering or a degree in Service Engineering
• Practical experience with high voltage equipment is an added value
• Design experience with high voltage power systems will be an added value
• Experienced in writing design specifications and verification reports
• Practical experience with project scoping, coordination, and execution
