    Hitachi Energy

    Dr. Luiz Cheim has been with Hitachi Energy (formerly ABB) since 2009 working as a Senior Principal R&D En-gineer, with an extensive list of publications and work carried out as a Senior Member of the IEEE Transformers Committee and a Cigre Paris SCA2 Distinguished Member since 2006. His major activities are on the develop-ment of power transformers condition assessment algorithms and performance models, with the application of sophisticated statistical tools, AI/Machine Learning algorithms. Luiz holds more than 25 patents with several new applications in progress, being the mastermind behind the Transformer Algorithms in Hitachi Lumada APM and the proponent of the Transformer Inspection Robot, among others.
