Germany, Munich: Siemens Energy is organising a virtual conference themed ‘Shaping the Energy of Tomorrow’ focused on Asia Pacific.

On 9 and 10 March, Asia Pacific’s power and energy sector comprising industry experts, government stakeholders, and thousands of customers will convene together at the region’s first-ever Siemens Energy Asia Pacific Energy Week virtual conference. Themed “Shaping the Energy of Tomorrow”, it is organized by Siemens Energy and partners, with the agenda of driving conversations and action plans on the energy transition, changing energy landscape, challenges and opportunities ahead, as well as balancing energy demands with carbon neutrality and climate change.

Event partners that pledged their support for the conference include the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK); the Asia-Pacific Hydrogen Association; the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (GMIS); Masdar – a global leader in renewable energy and sustainable urban development which is wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi government’s Mubadala Investment Company, and Siemens Gamesa. Participants can expect engaging and insightful panel sessions covering a diverse range of topics that will feature esteemed international panellists including regional ministers, CEOs, energy and finance industry leaders as well as Siemens Energy board members and senior executives.

The seven panel sessions will cover subject matters such as financing sustainable energy projects, integrating renewables into grids, incorporating digitalization, decarbonizing hydrocarbon intensive industries, and utilizing green hydrogen. At present, an estimated 16 % of the world’s power generation is already based on Siemens Energy technologies. With this significant portfolio comes the responsibility to help shape the direction and future of the energy sector, and to focus on sustainability, innovation, and decarbonization, for the benefit of society.
