Nowadays innovation of the production process is a matter of survival for both large manufacturers and smaller factories. Quality, productivity and safety is the triad of competitiveness and those companies which have an “open mind” to new technologies and invest in innovation can gain a considerable advantage and be more competitive than others.

Oxyweld, with its oxy-hydrogen gas generator (also called water gas generator or HHO) for brazing, plays a key role in innovation of the brazing process.

This equipment turns distilled water into oxy-hydrogen gas and replaces the conventional oxy-fuel gas cylinders such as oxy-acetylene or oxy-propane.

In distribution and power transformer industry, the system is used for brazing copper, brass, aluminium bus bars, cables, wires and flat wires, from small sizes up to 3000 mm2. The same system can be also used for stripping the CTC from the resin.

Oweld gas generators convert distilled or demineralized water (H2O) into a mixture of hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2) gases called oxyhydrogen gas. The gas generated is mixed automatically by the machine, without need for manual adjustment in the torch (as is now the case with traditional gas cylinders) and the flame generated gets the maximum efficiency.

In this way, by eliminating human error, the productive process is standardized and the quality of the joints guaranteed. Moreover, thanks to the concentrated flame, the heat is localized thus reducing overheating in the winding and insulation damage.
