What is Trafogrid Alliance?

Trafogrid Alliance is a group of European manufacturers of machines and instruments for transformer manufacturing process. The idea to develop a group of companies which would promote a holistic approach to the entire transformer manufacturing process, instead of focusing only on individual machines, originated from L.A.E., which has more than 30 years of experience in advancing transformer manufacturing. The idea was realized in 2011 when Trafogrid Alliance was established.

Why the Alliance?

The reasons to create such alliance followed directly from our customer needs and requests. We had customers who faced an increasing demand for transformers and they wanted either to extend the existing plants or build a new factory as part of a green-field project. Another driver was the need for innovations on a larger scale.

Drawing on our experience, we came to the idea to focus on the whole manufacturing process, because if the market requires more competitive products, better performance and lower losses, then there must be a response to this from machine suppliers.

Trafogrid Alliance in the first step focused on Distribution Transformers manufacturing and offers the most important advantages in the winding, drying, core cutting, tank manufacturing and fin folding processes, for the future it will focus also on other processes like cast resin transformers, already started. We promote the holistic approach to the process.

We started cooperating among the companies to improve the commercial service to our customer in terms of time and availability. We are currently working to optimize and share our after sales service, again to improve the quality of our offer. Finally the strategy is to work more and more with the supply chain, and create a better synergy to optimize the manufacturing process. This enables improvements, which if we only focused on a single machine and service, would never happen. If we look together to our customer needs, we are confident we can influence positively to improve any aspect of the process, spending less time to optimize machines and services.
