The industry’s ‘must-attend’ event

CWIEME Americas closed its doors on September 18, 2019, following a resoundingly successful exhibition and conference, which saw a significant increase in the caliber of visitors. As the only dedicated event in North America for the supply chain of coil winding, electric motors, transformers and e-mobility, CWIEME Americas has now clearly established itself as the industry’s ‘must-attend’ technical conference and exhibition for North America.

The two-day exhibition and conference drew an impressive 1,500 visitors, 60 % of whom were new to CWIEME. Over 80 % of the visitors were from the United States. Most importantly, 88 % of the visitors were buyers and influencers, positioning CWIEME as the perfect forum for connecting suppliers with customers. Exhibitors were extremely pleased with the quality of attendees and the resulting leads, and many immediately booked for CWIEME 2020, underscoring the success of the show.

Visitors represented a broad array of CWIEME’s target industries – Electrical & Electronic Manufacturing, Motor & Generator Manufacturing, Automotive, Transformer Manufacturing, Coil Manufacturing and Aerospace/Aviation, to name just a few.

On the exhibition side, the event boasted an impressive 105 exhibitors, including global industry leaders, such as Cogent Power (part of the Tata Steel Group), Marsilli North America, Nittoku America and Odawara Automation.

CWIEME Americas’ broad success validates investment in North American market

Overall, the show’s success validated the investment in revitalizing CWIEME Americas for 2019, notably through its new, dedicated on-site American team. Visitors found all supply chain elements for coil winding, electric motors, transformers, and e-mobility under one roof. Additionally, attendance at the highly curated CWIEME Conference was exceptional, indicating the timely relevance of conference topics and the wide appeal of the industry professionals and thought leaders who presented at the conference. Key highlights of the conference program included the opening keynote focusing on the economic outlook and prospects for coil winding market drivers. Presented by Donald R. Leavens, Vice President, and Chief Economist at NEMA, this talk provided great in-depth market analysis and a heads up on market drivers. Over 20 industry thought leaders and experts, including executives from National Electrical Manufacturers Association, Global Sourcing & Strategy at SPX, Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, and LCT Development, spoke on a range of current and relevant issues and topics.
