For the past sixty years, Minel Transformers has been known as a brand that delivers dependable and high-quality power transformers throughout the world. Their dedication and impeccable technical expertise in both servicing and power transformers production earned them a well-respected place in the minds of their partners and customers.
Located near Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia, Minel Transformers was the leading manufacturer in the Balkan region with a network of loyal customers and partners that spread over multiple continents, covering Europe, Africa, and the Middle east. They managed to continue production and successfully deliver even during the conflicts of the 1990s.
However, even the most found companies are not immune to the ruff waves of a global economy.
In 2011, after a long and rough period, the Minel went into a shutdown.
Once busy production floor, crowded engineering studios went silent after more than half of the century of continued work.
Continuing a tradition of more than 50 years
For the following four years, the factory stayed barred, with all the know-how systems, infrastructure, and production tools locked.
Luckily, in 2015, a deal was made to reignite and power up the machines. The big buyout by Comel Ltd. Belgrade was cleared, and the brand was finally able to break the stagnation period, now as Comel Transformers.
