Switzerland, Zurich: ABB has won a power order from CCR (Companhia de Concessões Rodoviárias) Group to provide power for expanded metro lines in the Greater Salvador area, Brazil. CCR Group is one of the largest private infrastructure conglomerates in Latin America.
Switzerland, Zurich: ABB has won orders worth approximately $ 160 million from the Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) to construct substations that will help strengthen the country’s power grid and support its growing infrastructure.
According to their press release, ABB, has won a significant project from the Dutch-German transmission system operator TenneT to supply an AC power transmission link connecting Sandbank, an offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, to the HVDC converter station SylWin alpha.

ABB announced they have signed an agreement to sell all assets of Baldor’s generator-set business to Generac Holdings Inc. (NYSE:GNRC, “Generac”) – a leading producer of generators and other engine-powered products with the headquarters in Waukesha, Wisconsin, the US. The terms of the transaction, expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2013, were not disclosed.
