India, Tamil Nadu: Indian diversified public sector undertaking (PSU) Andrew Yule & Company (AYCL) is looking to buying a transformer unit in Tamil Nadu, Chairman Kallol Datta said.

Last Friday Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce Anthony Hylton welcomed the presentation of Federal Transformer Manufacturing and Consulting Limited (FTMC) into the local manufacturing sector.

Germany, Brilon: ABB is planning to cut up to 60 jobs at its transformer plant in Brilon, Germany and move part of its production to Poland, according to the German daily Westfalenpost.

Spain, Aragon: As of September this year, ABB will downsize transformer production at its manufacturing plant in Zaragoza and move part of the production to Poland.
