Power transformer bursts into flames at ALFI site
France, Richemont: A power transformer fire occurred at Air Liquide France Industrie (ALFI) which required intervention of around 30 firefighters.

France, Richemont: A power transformer fire occurred at Air Liquide France Industrie (ALFI) which required intervention of around 30 firefighters.
The intervention was mostly precautious and was carried out according to the protocol associated with this type of intervention, as the fire did not affect the rest of the ALFI industrial site. The incident occurred yesterday around 9 a.m. and no injuries were reported, according to France3.
A considerable dark smoke appeared at the site when the incident occurred but fortunately, the fire was caused by the power transformer isolated from the rest of the high risk industrial activity.
The firefighters managed to keep the fire under control so the transformer remained under the supervision with enough time to cool off completely.
