Russia: Tyumenenergo is in the process of updating substation Samza in accordance with the company’s investment programme which includes comprehensive reconstruction of the object.

The 110/35/10 kV Samza was built in 1987 and its power equipment is worn, and with capacity of 16.3 MVA, not enough to provide all the energy needs of the region, reports Energo News.

During the reconstruction of the substation, two TDTN 16000/110 power transformers will be installed, thus capacity of the new facility will be almost doubled.

Current transformers and anti-resonant voltage transformers are also scheduled for replacement. In general, the entire facility will be equipped with the latest energy efficient power equipment.

The substation Samza will start operation in spring 2015 and provide reliable electricity to LUKOIL – Western Siberia amongst other consumers.
