Tambovenergo repairs 121 substations and 108 transformers as part of power renovation

Russia, Tambov: IDGC of Centre branch Tambovenergo summed up implementation of the renovation programme for the first half of 2014. All activities are carried out on schedule, and in several areas ahead of schedule.

From January to June 2014, Tambovenergo repaired 121 transformer substations of 6-10 kV and 108 transformers. The company also repaired more than 460 km of 0.4-110 kV overhead lines – more than 24 km more than planned, reports Energo News.

By the end of the year, Tambovenergo plans to repair 153 transformer substations of 6-10 kV and 168 transformers as well as more than 1000 km of 0.4-110 kV overhead lines. The company will also conduct comprehensive renovation of four 35 kV substations.

“All the work is done efficiently and in time. Implementation of the programme will allow Tambovenergo to improve the reliability of power supply, improve the quality of the power transmission to consumers as well as prepare for the autumn-winter period 2014/2015.” said the Deputy Director for Technical Issues – Chief Engineer of Tambovenergo, Igor Polyakov.
