Russia, Ekaterinburg: Ekaterinburg Electric Grid Company completed the main construction works on the Mednaya substation.
Two power transformers with a total capacity of 80 MVA have been installed as well as switchgear and circuit breakers. Approximately 90% of all power equipment has already been delivered and installed.
According to the plan, the installation of all power equipment is scheduled for September. The entire construction will be complete in Q4 2014.
The new substation will improve the reliability of power supply to the existing users and create better connection of new facilities. Construction of the Mednaya substation marks the beginning of modernisation of the electric grid complex in Ekaterinburg.
