ABB to supply power equipment to India’s 96 MW Dikchu hydro project

Switzerland, Zurich: ABB has won a contract to design and supply power equipment for the 96-MW Dikchu hydroelectric project in India’s Sikkim State.
According to the agreement with Sneha Kinetic Power Projects Pvt. Ltd (a unit of Greenko Energies Pvt. Ltd.), ABB will design and engineer the complete electrical system to connect the hydro project to India’s national grid, reports Hydro World.
ABB will supply of a variety of electrical equipment including power transformers,132 kV GIS, MV and LV switchgear, cabling and other equipment.
