France, Aillon: A helicopter Super Puma transported a huge power transformer in the heart of The Bauges, to the Aillons-Margériaz substation.
A Super Puma helicopter transported a transformer weighing 4 tonnes to the village of Aillon on Mount Pelat (1,543 m) where it will supply a telephone relay antenna at the substation Aillons-Margériaz, reports France TV.
The Super Puma, a civilian transport helicopter was developed in the 1980s but this is an improved version Puma SA 330 which is extremely powerful and a commercial success. In 2006, the Super Puma cost $15 million.
