12 new substations to be constructed in Bhopal

They are being constructed by the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company in 8 districts falling under the Gwalior-Chambal division.

India, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal: As many as 12 new 33 / 11 kV substations are being constructed by the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company in 8 districts falling under the Gwalior-Chambal division.

Apart from this, in the existing 20 subcenters, additional power transformers are being installed and capacity of 13 power transformers is being increased.

Furthermore, in these districts, 282 km long 33 kV line and 378 km long 11 kV line are being laid down. In addition, 105 additional transformers, capacity enhancement of 75 distribution transformers and new capacitors in 26 subcenters are being installed.

Concrete arrangements are being ensured by spending $9.4 M (Rs70 crore) on all these works to ensure supply of quality power.

Minister for Energy Pradyuman Singh has directed the officials to complete all the sanctioned works within stipulated time, so that uninterrupted power supply could be ensured to farmers and people during the harvest season.
