Power transformers arrive to Dock Sud as part of public investment in Buenos Aires

Argentina, Buenos Aires: Five power transformers have arrived to Dock Sud to be added to the system in order to achieve better energy supply in the Buenos Aires area.

Argentina, Buenos Aires: Five power transformers have arrived to Dock Sud to be added to the system in order to achieve better energy supply in the Buenos Aires area.

“These transformers are part of FOCEDE (Fund Consolidation and Expansion of Electrical Distribution), an enterprise of the Ministry of Planning.” said the coordinator of the Ministry of Public Service, Marcelo Montero.

“We have more than 400 works within the Edesur’s concession  and over 200 in Edenor’s. The direct beneficiaries of these investments will be more than 2.5 million customers in the city of Buenos Aires and the 12 districts of the concession area in the southern suburbs of Buenos Aires.” he added.

Power transformers were manufactured by EMCO Ltd and three 80 MVA transformers and two 40 MVA ones have been delivered, reports Impulso Baires.

One 80 MVA transformer will be installed in the City of Buenos Aires in Caballito substation. The remaining two 80 MVA transformers will be installed in Calzada and Transradio substations.  

The 40 MVA transformers will be installed at Bosques substation by Edesur.
