ABB wins contract to supply power for Kraken FPSO
Switzerland, Zurich: ABB has won a contract from Armada Kraken Pte to provide power and automation technologies for the Kraken FPSO in the UK northern North Sea.

Switzerland, Zurich: ABB has won a contract from Armada Kraken Pte to provide power and automation technologies for the Kraken FPSO in the UK northern North Sea.
The vessel is designed to develop up to 140 MMbbl of oil starting in 2017 and will be delivered to field operator EnQuest UK, reports Penn Energy.
According to the contract, ABB will deliver a complete e-house, accommodating the FPSO’s electrification and automation systems as well as distribution transformers, medium- and low-voltage switchgear, integrated control and safety systems, uninterrupted power system, and electrical monitoring and control systems.
