ANDE puts new transmission lines and transformers into service
As part of the projects listed in the Plan for summer 2013/2014, the National Electricity Administration (ANDE), commissioned new transmission lines and new power transformers in the east, south and metropolitan areas in Paraguay.

As part of the projects listed in the Plan for summer 2013/2014, the National Electricity Administration (ANDE), commissioned new transmission lines and new power transformers in the east, south and metropolitan areas in Paraguay.
In the Central Acaray the (TR 06) 60 MVA, 220/66 kV transformer was changed to 75 MVA. Furthermore, changing of another 60 MVA transformer (No. 12) to 75 MVA, 220/66 kV is expected, and with this, the hydroelectric plant would have a capacity of 150 MVA, 30 MVA more than previously available.
The Itakyry substation was put into service with a 60 MVA, 220/66 kV (TR05), along with a new 66 kV transmission line. 66 kV Itakyry-Minga Pora (second circuit) transmission line is already charged allowing the substation load to distribute itself equally. With this, the capacity of the first transmission line will be improved, allowing greater reliability and quality of power supply to the Katuete and Salto del Guaira areas.
ANDE are currently working on building the 66 kV Minga Pora-INPASA transmission line (second stage) to offer their customers better power supply service this summer.
The Barrio Parque substation, has charged the transformer No. 4 to ease the load of the existing transformers (TR01 , TR02 and TR03) and help to supply the entire surrounding area.
The 66 kV Trinidad-PirapĂł transmission line is scheduled to be connected this weekend. The position for the line was mounted in the Trinidad station.
The installation of a new 41.67 MVA, 220/23 kV transformer was initiated in the Luque station in order to improve power supply service in the area next summer.
The San Pedro del Norte substation was also provided with a new 20 MVA, 66/23 kV transformer to improve power supply service.
