EDF signs contract with Sumitomo Corp. for 200 MW Texas Wind Project

USA, California: EDF Renewable Services has won a contract with Sumitomo Corp. of Americas to provide balance-of-plant (BOP) services for the Mesquite Creek Wind facility.

 


USA, California: EDF Renewable Services has won a contract with Sumitomo Corp. of Americas to provide balance-of-plant (BOP) services for the Mesquite Creek Wind facility.

The 200 MW project is located in Dawson and Borden counties, Texas and is currently under construction, reports North American Wind Power.

According to the contract, EDF Renewable Services will provide the operations and maintenance services for the facility, including power transformers, substation, transmission lines, switchgear, fiber-optic cables for the SCADA system and other equipment.

“With a growing workforce in Texas, we can optimise our services and technical strength in the region.” says Dalen Copeland, the company’s director of business development. “We are pleased to partner with Sumitomo and be a part of their global commitment to sustaining the environment through the ownership of renewable projects.”
