FirstEnergy moves large transformers through Toronto, Ohio

USA, Ohio: FirstEnergy transported very large transformers from a rail yard in Toronto to a site north of the city where the new Toronto substation is under construction.

 


USA, Ohio: FirstEnergy transported very large transformers from a rail yard in Toronto to a site north of the city where the new Toronto substation is under construction.

The transformers weighed over 136 tonnes each and were 5.2 m tall, 8.5 m long and 3 m wide. They are all part of the FirstEnergy substation, reports WTOV9.

The transformers were transported on a specially designed trailer. FirstEnergy will transport more transformers on Monday morning.
