USA, Illinois: Ameren Illinois is investing about $9.4 million in power infrastructure upgrades to improve the reliability and performance of Champaign County’s energy supply system.
The company will upgrade and strengthen existing equipment at substations, construct new ones and upgrade power transformers, reports Wand TV.
The upgrades and implementation of smart grid technology will allow the company to improve service to its customers.
