USA, Georgia: Following unanimous vote by The county’s Industrial Development Authority, EFACEC may get a new owner who would keep the power transformer manufacturing plant in Effingham County and hire additional workers.

Steve Nelson, a representative of the new company, said it would be created specifically to acquire the plant and would be called “Caravels”, reports Savannah Now.

According to Nelson, the people who are interested in purchasing the plant have been in the power transformer business for more than 40 years.

If the purchase is completed, he added that all the employees would remain at the plant with possible expansion of the workforce. IDA CEO John Henry said information about the new company was being withheld as a “trade secret.”
