Taiwan: Hitachi-Fortune new plant completed main beam installation in end of October with expected production to begin in the second quarter 2015.
Taiwan: Hitachi-Fortune new plant completed main beam installation in end of October with expected production to begin in the second quarter 2015.
Hitachi-Fortune is a joint venture established by Hitachi Japan and Fortune Taiwan, with Japanese shares contributing 60% percent and Fortune having invested 40%.
New plant specialises in 500 kV high voltage power transformers which will be 100% export. North America will be a major target market, but Southeast Asia and Middle East would also be targeted as part of the company strategy.
4.06 ha land from Taizhong Harbour was rented for first phase construction with total investment of around $47 million. More than 200 jobs will be created as a benefit to the local community.
