ABB wins two power contracts from Ansaldo Energia in Algeria
Switzerland, Zurich: ABB received multiple contracts from Italy-based power generation plants and related services provider – Ansaldo Energia.

According to the first contract, ABB will provide substation expansion and a plant automation system for the latest gas-fired power plant in the Batna, Algeria – Ain Djasser III.
The second contract includes enhancement of the 220 kV air-insulated substation to extend the power generated in Ain Djasser plants to the transmission grid in Algeria. ABB will provide a diverse range of solutions such as high voltage transformers, protection and management of the substation.
ABB expects to initiate the energy production at the plant by 2016, reports Zacks.
