Fire breaks out in power transformer at Uri-II power station
India, Uri: Yestreday, a major fire broke out in Uri-II power plant worth INR 2,300 crore ($372 million).
India, Uri: Yesterday, a major fire broke out in Uri-II power plant worth INR 2,300 crore ($372 million).
The fire started in one of the transformers and it quickly spread to other parts of the power house. Around eight firefighters were working on extinguishing the fire while a back up was called in from Baramullah.
The Uri-II power house has recently been inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reports The Times of India.
