Alstom T&D India wins $40 million grid substation contract

India, New Delhi: Alstom T&D India has won a $ 40 million contract with Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd. (MSETCL) for the construction of 400/220 kV grid substations at Kudus, Alkud, and Kondhwa in Maharashtra, reports RTT news.

 


India, New Delhi: Alstom T&D India has won a $40 million contract with Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd. (MSETCL) for the construction of 400/220 kV grid substations at Kudus, Alkud, and Kondhwa in Maharashtra.

As part of this turnkey project, 400/220 kV air-insulated substations with power transformers, substation automation system and associated auxiliary equipment will be built at Kudus and Alkud, while 220/22 kV gas-insulated substation with transformers and other electrical equipment will be manufactured for Kondhwa, reports RTT news.

The substation will strengthen the 220kV transmission network as part of Maharashtra’s 12th Five Year Plan.
