New Chajari substation to improve power supply

The Chajarí Electric Cooperative substation, Argentina was officially opened on Monday in the presence of the Minister of Planning Juan Javier García, provincial Energy Secretary Raúl Arroyo, the departmental Senator María Angélica Guerra, the deputy mayor Diana Verdún, the ENERSA Chajarí district chief Oscar Grassi and other officials.

The Chajari Electric Cooperative substation, Argentina was officially opened on Monday in the presence of the Minister of Planning Juan Javier Garcia, provincial Energy Secretary Raul Arroyo, the departmental Senator Maria Angelica Guerra, the deputy mayor Diana Verdun,  the ENERSA Chajari­ district chief Oscar Grassi  and other officials.

Henry Michelood said that this substation “will improve the provision of electricity in the Chajari­ industrial area and to the existing and future users, and encourage growth of the city.”

The installation has an approximate 3,000,000 pesos budget.

Jose Colombo, the Cooperative technical adviser,  provided technical details the installation: the substation is to receive three-phase medium voltage power of 3 x 33 kV and transform it to medium-phase voltage of 3 x 13.2 kV. Afterwards, a voltage power of 13.2 kV  is distributed by two three-phase feeders to the Chajari­ industrial area.

This work will be completed in two stages. Firstly, a power transformer and two respective feeders will be decommissioned . Secondly, a new power transformer and two new feeders will be constructed at the station.
