Switzerland, Baden/Landquart: A specially-equipped Rhaetian Railway (RhB) train will be featuring a new look matching that of ABB branding to mark a hundred years of collaboration between the two companies.

The revamped train has been equipped with ABB power transformers and compact converters developed specifically for the demands of the Rhaetian Railway, whose trains operate in high Alpine climates in two different systems – with direct current (1 kV) on the Bernina line and with alternating current (11 kV) on the remaining rail network.

The train, which is part of the Allegra fleet containing a total of 15 train sets delivered by Stadler Rail in 2010/2011, will be operating exclusively between Landquart and Davos during the World Economic Forum and then on all routes of the Graubünden (Grisons) rail network after the convention.
