USA, Washington: Ferry County Public Utility District (PUD) has reached a decision to start processing their agency’s own transformer oil.

Processing would remove water and debris from the oil, and an oxidation inhibitor would be used to keep the oil from breaking down, said the superintendent and engineer at PUD Steve VanSlyke, according to The Omak Chronicle.

The superintendent also informed that recent outages in parts of the county were caused by a Kuehne substation transformer malfunction.
