Orsk Solar Power Plant began installation of power transformer

Russia, Orenburg: Orenburg branch of Volga Territorial Generation Company (Volga TGC) has announced commencement of the installation of a 40 MVA power transformer at the site of the future Orsk Solar Power Plant.

 


Russia, Orenburg: Orenburg branch of Volga Territorial Generation Company (Volga TGC) has announced commencement of the installation of a 40 MVA power transformer at the site of the future Orsk Solar Power Plant.

The power transformer will increase the current voltage coming from the solar panels from 10 kV to 110 kV, feeding it into the grid, reports Ural 56.

The new transformer is an energy-efficient unit with a long lifetime.

Orsk Solar Power Plant is a 25MW project built by Russia’s largest private power supply company, Integrated Energy Systems Holding (IES).
