St. Petersburg ES invests $13 million into substation upgrade

Russia, St. Petersburg: St. Petersburg Electric Networks (St. Petersburg ES) has commenced works on the reconstruction of 110 kV Red October substation in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg.

 


Russia, St. Petersburg: St. Petersburg Electric Networks (St. Petersburg ES) has commenced works on the reconstruction of 110 kV Red October substation in the Nevsky district of St. Petersburg.

The project valued at $13 million (800 million rubles) includes installation of two new power transformers 110/10/6 KV, with the capacity of 63 MVA each, as well as an expansion of the outdoor switchgear 110 kV, and a reconstruction and replacement of the outdoor switchgear 35 kV, reports Interfax-Russia.

The project will be carried out in several phases, so that there will be no disruptions to power supply.
