NTDC powers up two substations with new transformers

Pakistan, Lahore: The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) has replaced two 160 MVA transformers with new 250 MVA transformers at two substations in order to improve voltage profile and help eliminate tripping and forced load shedding in MEPCO, IESCO and PESCO areas.

 


Pakistan, Lahore: The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) has replaced two 160 MVA transformers with new 250 MVA transformers at two substations in order to improve voltage profile and help eliminate tripping and forced load shedding in MEPCO, IESCO and PESCO areas.

The transformers were installed at 220 kV Burhan substation and 220 kV Bahawalpur substation, where a transformer with same capacity was installed earlier in December 2014 to address the problems of the consumers, reports The Nation.

The upgrades will benefit the industrial and domestic consumers of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) and Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), as well as the industrial, rural and urban consumers of Bahawalpur division, Ahamdpur Sharqia, Lodhraan, Samma Satta and Lal Sohanra.
