Guinea-Bissau granted $78M for HV grid and transformer stations

Guinea-Bissau, Bissau: The Guinean Ministry of Natural Resources has announced that the World Bank will provide financing of $78 million to Guinea-Bissau for the installation of a high voltage power grid.

 


Guinea-Bissau, Bissau: The Guinean Ministry of Natural Resources has announced that the World Bank will provide financing of $78 million to Guinea-Bissau for the installation of a high voltage power grid.  

Along with the construction of 218 kilometres of the high voltage power transmission grid, the project will include building of two transformer stations, with power transformers and associated electrical equipment, in strategic distribution sites – Saltinho and Bambadinca, reports Macau Hub.

The project will now be put up for tender.
