USA, Washington: Workers from a heavy moving and rigging company Omega Morgan have started preparing a new 175-ton power transformer in the Port of Pasco’s Big Pasco Industrial area for delivery to Energy Northwest’s Columbia Generating Station in Richland, Washington.

It is one of three new transformers scheduled to be installed at the nuclear power plant during a refuelling and maintenance outage starting May 9, according to Energy Northwest spokesman Mike Paoli, reports Tri-City Herald.

The transformer, which arrived in Pasco by train, is being moved with a specially designed high-frame trailer with a capacity of 200 tons.
