USA, Texas: Marks Crane & Rigging, a company offering heavy haul and specialised transportation services has been engaged by SPX, a North Carolina-based manufacturer of electrical equipment, to hoist and move three large power transformers.

The hauling company provided cranes and transportation solutions for SPX, hoisting three transformers that varied in weight from 54 to 56 tons, states the company in the press release.

For this operation, the company used 40-ton boom truck to undress the transformers, and a 300-ton all-terrain crane to load the three transformers to heavy haul trucks.

The transformers were transported to Hobbs, New Mexico, to be offloaded at the OXY South Hobbs Plant, where they were dressed back with all accessories.

The whole operation took 8 days.
