USA, Michigan: NETA, the InterNational Electrical Testing Association and an ANSI Accredited standards developing organization, has launched new editions of the 2015 ANSI/NETA Standard for Maintenance Testing Specifications for Electrical Power Equipment and Systems (ANSI/NETA MTS-2015) and Standard for Certification of Electrical Testing Technicians (ANIS/NETA ETT-2015).

Equipment addressed in the ANSI/NETA MTS-2015 edition includes transformers, switchgear, cables switches, circuit breakers, protective relays, rotating machinery, motors, batteries, and more, reports Globe Newswire.

The 2015 ANSI/NETA MTS also includes a revision and update of the Instrument Transformer section.

The ANSI/NETA ETT codifies the experience, education, and training requirements necessary for an individual to obtain competency as an electrical test technician.

The 2015 editions of the standards supersede the 2011 edition of ANSI/NETA MTS and the 2010 edition of the ANSI/NETA ETT. NETA recommends referencing the most current edition of the ANSI/NETA standards to assure that bid documents, specifications, and reports are as accurate and complete as possible.
