USA, Florida: Pattern Energy Group Inc., the Orlando-based independent power company, has contracted Siemens to supply, support installation and provide long-term service for 65 wind turbines for the Amazon Wind Farm (Fowler Ridge) to be located near Fowler, Indiana.

The project will use new Siemens wind turbines with power transformers, blades, towers and nacelles which are made in America, reports Benzinga.

The transformers will be manufactured at the Siemens’ transformer facility in Richland, Mississippi.

Siemens previously partnered with Pattern Energy to supply 67 mount generation step up (GSU) transformers for the Amazon Wind Farm.

The project is expected to start generating power in the fourth quarter of 2015.
