India: Yaroslav Tarasyuk, Russian Trade Representative in India, has expressed Russia’s interest in the ‘Make in India’ programme, revealing that Russian businesses can count on receiving state support for investment projects in India.

Russia and India have created a list of Russia-India priority investment projects, which includes a plan to create a joint venture for the production of transformer steel by the Russian manufacturer Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) and Indian Rastriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL), said Tarasyuk in an interview for Russia Beyond the Headlines.

The project will be developed within the framework of Russian-Indian Joint Working Group on Priority Investment Projects, which is led by the Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development and India’s Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry.
